day 14 - west chester, ny
so it's been a few days without internet i could steal. time to catch up:

our return to syracuse turned out to be pretty great. it was a good show with a good crowd and great bands... we met the pinstripes from ohio, and the levar burtones from new york. and both bands are ridiculously good. and we got to play again with them the next night. and it was fun. thank you patrick for housing us. thank you johanna and skadanny for running the show - we'll be back soon!

the next night we drove through awesome torrential downpour to get to the athens community center for our second to last show of tour. it was good. big ups to public access for being really awesome, along with everyone who donated or stayed for us.

day 11 - ann arbor, mi
hooray for michigan, the north, and the eastern standard time zone. also hooray for the potter street house and we are the union for being absolutely awesome and also letting us crash with them. seriously, go listen if you like set your goals type punk meeting a taste of ska and brassiness.

last night's show was ridiculous. and ridiculously hot, but we're all so glad everyone stuck around in that sweaty basement to get into it. house shows rule.

now it's a day of driving before our return to syracuse. i hope kids there still like us.

day 9, perspective 2
It's Mark again... Steve capped up the crappiness that was the creation museum rather well. It was the epitome of shittiness and I'd definiely visit again because it was the single most flabbergasting afternoon in recent memory. It wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't such an outright assault on intellectualism and science from the first moment through the door.
In other news, shows have been great, we're livin large tonight at jen and dave's in indiana, eating food and playing mario 3. Tomorrow we move on to michigan. Less than 1 week of touring and here's hoping the rest is just as great as the first week.

day 9 - indianapolis, in
big thanks to dave and jen of lockstep, who are currently putting us up for the night and also play awesome punk rock tunes.

last night we played the seidenfaden's bar in louisville. it was cool. check out the welfares because they hooked us up with a great place to play. they're rather reminiscent of early lookout records pop punk. thanks to everyone in the bar who enjoyed us.

today we visited the creation museum in kentucky. i have absolutely zero comments on a *edit* thirty million dollar building full of people who believe that people and dinosaurs co-existed.

tonight we played at the irving in indianapolis. it was kinda empty but a sweet venue regardless. thanks everyone who stuck around, especially alex and mollie who drove from cincinnati for the show.

see you tomorrow, kalamazoo.

day 7 - knoxville, tn
oh, tennessee. oh, 4th of july. oh, alcohol.

while grabbing food yesterday in knoxville, we were approached by a camera crew and quizzed with some independence day trivia. while the brain-busters such as "where's the nation's capital?" really stumped us, we managed a perfect score. +10 for legitimate business. -10 for the reporter who needed to check her notes for the answers. i have no idea where it is but if anyone finds it, let me know.

this is our last day in nashville, but we'll see everyone in louisville, ky tomorrow at seidenfaden's. after that it's off to indianapolis and michigan.

day 5 - knoxville, tn
posting from a super 8 after a few long days. yesterday we drove about 6 hours to find that the venue for our north carolina show had bailed on us. super. so we're standing around in a waffle house parking lot, fairly annoyed, when we were informed that everyone involved had managed to rent a new pa system, a church for us to play in, and a crowd. talk about making something out of nothing. thank you to everyone involved for saving us from disaster, especially Goodnight, Irony, for originally setting up the show and getting everything fixed. Also, The Pseudo Superheroes are pretty damn good skacore. and we even got to see a backflip.

today we visited a theme park called "santa's land park and zoo". i'm not sure quite what i was expecting upon entering a trasher christmas theme park which exists year round , but it was by far the dumbest place i've ever been to. ever.

see? feel bad.

actually, the day before i saw my first super wal-mart, and died a little inside.

this is now officially the "2007 'feel bad' tour".

Tour goes well so far, and aside from a few audio problems and having to chug tea with honey for throat pains (if you're a singer, throw up as little as possible... it fucks you up for weeks) the first show was a lot of fun, especially the reception we got from WV kids. Felt great and made the 4 hour drive to get to a warm bed totally worth it. Onto North Carolina and glory in the morning!

day 3 - gladys, va
i'm currently sitting in john's basement in gladys, va. last night's show went pretty well, so a big thank you to have a nice day booking and all the kids who stayed for the whole show and danced. also we were interviewed for a zine called the hollywood escape. so check it out. i haven't seen a real zine in years, but it was great to see the art is still alive somewhere.

but way more importantly, we saw a minivan in west virginia poorly labeled "just married" with spray paint. so congratulations to that couple... i think.

day 1 - west chester, pa
so this is kind of cheating, because we haven't exactly played a show yet. but we only left two hours late, already had both gps units break on us, and two of us are already sick. so that's a good start. now we're just hanging out in shady's apartment. although these recent setbacks seem like a kick so early on, our spirits are high. so whatever!
